The staff at Santani truly care about what they do and the memories they make for their guests. They go above and beyond. I felt extremely special through our entire stay.

THE INSANE FOOD

If I could eat here everyday I would. They make healthy food taste insanely good, while remaining true to that Sri Lankan flavor. Local, fresh, delicious, personalized.

THE ROOMS

The combination of slate and wood is one of my favorites. When you pair that with floor to ceiling views of the jungle in your own private stand-alone chalet, it's perfect.

THE TRANQUILITY

Based on the concept of the ‘ambalama,' which is the Sri Lankan word meaning ‘place of rest.’ That's it - all about peace, quiet and rejuvenation.

LOCATION

Nestled between the hills and rainforest, Santani is about an hour’s drive from Kandy on the former Aratenna Tea Estate. Expect a long ride up an unpaved mountain surrounded by nature and pure seclusion.

FOOD + BEVERAGE

They call it gourmet wellness cuisine, I call it impeccable. Each dish is created in collaboration with the Exec Chef + the hotel's in house Ayurvedic doctor. Chef runs through the daily menu every morning, welcoming you to make any dietary or preferential adjustments. I never made one change. Local, fresh, traditional, personalized. Plus, you enjoy every bite in the open-air glass house with 360 views of nature.

VIBE

Holistic, romantic and peaceful. Minimalistic in design, yet architecturally sophisticated. The only sounds you'll hear is those of nature - A feeling of utmost seclusion.

AMENITIES

First, the one-of-kind spa tucked in the hillside featuring hydrotherapy facilities, outdoor treatment rooms and an open-air thermal salt soaking pool. One beautiful infinity pool, private nature excursions, custom food and beverage experience and wifi (if you want).
