STAY.
Located on the island's west coast in a small village called Valldemossa, this was our home for 8 nights, and one of the most memorable experiences.
With only 9 rooms, you truly feel at home. Set on an old olive farm in the middle of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, this small agritourismo hotel offers an authentic Spanish experience. You'll be greeted by Antonio, the wonderful hotel manager turned friend who plays every role, from the concierge, to the front desk agent, to the restaurant host. Antonio and his adorable pug, Luna, greet you every morning with a smile; he takes your order for dinner (by 5pm), which is custom to your preferences; he restocks the wine in the old wine cellar; and he tells stories of all the interesting people he's met over the past decade.
The infinity pool is always quiet and the perfect spot to relax after a long day of exploring. The valley views from the room were amazing, boasting perfect sunsets over the town of Valledemossa every evening. Everything is an honor system as well - you can take a bottle of wine and just leave your room number.
The breakfast (offered every morning until 11am) featured fresh eggs, meat, cheese, muffins, cereal, fruit, etc. Every meal was enjoyed on the patio, with only 9 tables to accommodate each guest room.
There's no around-the-clock service, but Antonio was the perfect host who made our stay so personal and unforgettable.
