Frida Kahlo Museum - The home turned museum tell’s the life story of Frida Kahlo through the artist’s paintings, wardrobe and keepsakes. Pre-order tickets online as the entrance line can be long.
Chapultepec Castle - Set atop Chapultepec Hill, this historical site boasts some of the most beautiful interiors and best views in the city.
Teotihuacan Pyramids - A 30 minute drive outside of Mexico City, you’ll find some of the most stunning ruins once inhabited by the Aztecs. For the whole experience, hire an archeologist guide.
Casa Luis Barragan - Aka Casa Gilardi. Former studio and home of famous architect Luis Barragan now transformed into museum offering small tours available by appointment only.
Zocalo - Mexico City’s history city center closely Palacio National and lots of authentic restaurants and shops.
La Roma Neighborhood - This was my favorite place to explore and walk around - There’s tons of cool shops, restaurants and people watching.

Limontour - Great bar scene in La Roma with top notch mixologists at the helm of the cocktail list.
Gin Gin - Located in La Roma neighborhood, this garden inspired bar is perfect for cocktails or a night out.
Xaman Bar - The decor and cocktail recipes are both super unique at this La Juarez bar.
La Clandestina - Cool dive bar that offers mezcal on tap.
Condesa DF - This hotel bar with a garden feel is great for afternoon drinks.
Jules Basement - Speakeasy with good cocktails and DJ. Great for post-dinner drinking and dancing.
Hanky Panky - Hidden behind an unassuming taqueria you’ll find another glam speakeasy in the cool La Juarez neighborhood.
Fifty Mils - Upscale cocktail bar with a lot of character in the Four Seasons Mexico City, that brings in both sophisticated travelers and stylish locals alike.
SNACK.
Quintonil - This was a favorite dinner that probably beat out Pujol. You get an upscale experience that’s far from pretentious and adds a real local flare. This multi-course tasting menu is paired perfectly with unique cocktails and Mexican wine - Not to mention a top 25 restaurant in the world.
Pujol - Enrique Olivera’s most talked about restaurant is truly a culinary masterpiece set in a beautiful space, although lacks a bit of an authentic feel.
Contramar - A more casual atmosphere perfect for lunch. Get the tuna tacos.
Maximo Bistro - A Pujol and Le Bernardin alum, Chef Garcia brings farm-to-table deliciousness to the bohemian La Roma neighborhood.
Cardenal - One of Mexico City’s most authentic spots, known for its traditional breakfast.
La Cocina de mi Mama - #1 street food. A hidden gem located in the back of the Coyacan Market not far from Frida Kahlo Museum.
Mercado Roma - A bit touristy, but a great pit stop for churros and a Mexican beer. Similar to Urban space you’ll find in NYC.
La Docena - This open air oyster bar allows for a great lunch in La Roma. They also serve one of the largest most amazing bloody Marys.
Rosetta - Italian fare set in a an old mansion in La Roma.
Azul Historico - Located in the city center, this candlelit restaurant sets the mood for a special dining experience.
Lalo! - A new casual restaurant serving modern Mexican in La Roma - perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Lardo - Clean Mexican cuisine set in a rustic space in the Condesa neighborhood. Perfect for lunch.
